Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry-I

It is an immense pleasure to publish this book's "First Edition", which will be helpful to Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry for the B. Pharm 4th semester students. This text book covers the new syllabus of the B. Pharm course in Pharmacy as prescribed in the "Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) course regulations 2014 by the Pharmacy Council of India (P.C.I). The subject matter in this book is explained in very simple language and in a clear and concise form, which will help the students to have a clear-cut understanding of the subject. In the current text, the concepts of pharmacognosy and phytochemistry are presented simply and systematically, which is beneficial for pharmacognosy on multiple levels. This book was created because undergraduate students needed an introduction to pharmacognosy. I sincerely hope that this textbook will become very useful to students and teachers of pharmacy. If any suggestions towards its further improvements come, the author's team will accept this acknowledgement and incorporate it into the next edition.
